No Kings

Liberty, freedom, and justice for all,

A message as boisterous as the mighty eagle's call.

These are the pillars in which our country rests upon,

Yet these qualities have been out of style for years, they are long gone.

There is liberty only for those with money and power,

The ones who lie and steal, who feed off of their workers lives by the hour.

There is freedom only for those who stand against the oppressed,

The ones who know nothing of compassion, who won't let their victims rest.

There is justice only for those who look a certain way,

The ones who think everyone else is beneath them, nothing more than prey.

Liberty, freedom, and justice for all,

Words that mean nothing, dreams our founding fathers scrawled

The power is meant to be in the people's hands,

Not in those whose loyalty has been sealed with a gilded brand

This land is no place for tyranny, tyrants, or kings,

We have no intention of bending the knee and kissing the ring.

History shows that the heads of kings roll eventually,

Because the roof can only stand tall under the weight of the pillars,

And as the foundation cracks, you're reminded that gravity is quite the killer.
